FallenAngelSaga
This game was created for RetroGrade Jam 2 ( https://itch.io/jam/retrograde-jam2 )
It's a simple SRPG with a retro NES-like atmosphere.
In the GameJam version, there are 3 stages in total.
*** There is a bug that if you take focus off the game while playing in the browser, the space key will behave as it does in the browser. If you download and play via the itch.io app, this problem will not occur, so we recommend playing that way.

Game Rules:
This is a simple Grid-based Tactics RPG.
If the protagonist dies, the game is over.
Units with higher ATK are treated as physical attacks, while units with higher MGC are treated as magical attacks.
A sorcerer has a range of 1-2.
The archer has a range of 2.
All other units have a range of 1.
Attacks from outside range cannot be counterattacked.
Units on wood or stone squares have a bonus to evade.
All allied units on top of a house square will recover 10 HP every turn.
When you accumulate 100 experience, you will level up and have random growth based on the unit's growth rate.

Only played partially into the 2nd battle. Game looks great and the auto target selection is awesome.
There seems to be some strange problem with the game engine though - once you click anywhere outside of the game there seems to be no way to get the focus back onto the game UI. After that "space" only does "page down". This happened on Win 11 on both Firefox and Chrome.
Thanks for the report! You’re right, there is a bug. I’ve reproduced it myself. The GameJam version doesn’t allow resubmission, so I’d like to update it after GameJam ends, if it can be handled. I apologize for the unplayable state of the game.
If you download and play the game via the itch.io app, you won’t have this problem, so I’m sorry, but I recommend playing it that way.
